To save more people we need your help. We cannot bring Jannie back, but we can make her impact on all of us continue through The Janice McArdle Cancer Research Foundation with emphasis on non-smoking related cancer research.
About the Foundation
The Janice Lamb McArdle Cancer Research Foundation was established when Janice lost her battle with non-smoking lung cancer in 2008. Since its inception, “Jannie’s Hope” has raised $250,000 for research. One in every three cancer deaths is the result of lung cancer. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths across every ethnic group in the United States. However, a significantly smaller amount of research funds are invested in lung cancer than in breast cancer. Nearly 80% of new lung cancer cases have never smoked or are smokers who have quit, many of whom quit decades ago.
The goal of Jannie’s Hope is to raise funds to increase the research and awareness for non-smoking related lung cancer.
